This Papers opinion on: THE DEFINITION OF HUMAN TRAFFICKING.
After some research, it seems that the term "Human Trafficking" is an updated, revised or modern termonology for another word, that being "Slavery". What happens when a word is revised to sound different to it's essential meaning and can be deceptive as to its real meaning.
The termonlogy is so important to this issue, as this paper believes the industry of human trafficking should be called what it really is, which is slavery. Although the term slavery is somewhat dated, the tradegy beneath is widely understood by most people, and thefore would motivate more people to attend.
Human Trafficking somehow takes the focus off what is really happening, and almost indicates that someone else, like "The Government" or "The Police Force" deal with those issues. It gives an official feeling, and somehow dehumanizes what it is being said, whereas "Slavery" says it all.
A simple word that has captured the horror and tradegy for centuries, and competes with the term "Human Trafficking" in the sense that, the word Slavery motivates people to feel the tragedy, whereas Human Trafficking denotes a sense of establishment.
